Disney

So I went to Disney this weekend and what I realized now at 34 is that a lot of us at some point in our lives tire of Disney when we are young, maybe grow out of it because we want to be more mature and what I find now is that I heart it. I can't wait to go back. I can't wait to be a kid again. To make my dreams come true. I think that is what I love about my job so much. It is so creative and the environment is so fun that it doesn't feel like a job. That I can be creative, that our work is creative AND we get to have fun. The people are great, ones that you become close to and ones that you become good friends with the ones you go places with, etc. So Disney has become one of my true loves again, now that I realize I don't have to grow up. I can enjoy and savor the world and all it has to offer with my friends.

Happy 4th of July

Independence...what I find difficult as a recruiter is to determine what part of a portofolio is really yours. I always enjoy books that give me more information. What did the client want? did you do the production? the concept? did you work in photoshop or did you do the flash? I think it is important to explain what you did with the team and what you did as an individual contributor on a project. Celebrate your independence but in a creative environment you must work as a team.
