Sapient Won Site of the Day on FWA April 6th for Happiness Factory 3!!!

Sapient launched the first part of it’s digital campaign for Coca-Cola’s Happiness Factory 3 last week. The project, one of my lifetime favorites, was truly built on the blood, sweat, tears, ingenuity, and smiles of a lot of people. The site took a very large team of creatives, designers, developers, IA, project managers, animators, and 3d specialists to create. Check it out here.

I’m thrilled to announce that it won an FWA last Monday, April 6th! Hopefully this is a good sign and indication of a successful campaign that resonates with all who see it.

I also recommend checking out the HF3 MSN Messenger games that Sapient created with Microsoft. Microsoft said they pushed the boundaries of the platform and the multi-player experience is pretty amazing.

We’ve got some more stuff in the cooker, but you’ll just have to wait till it launches.

Creatives - Portfolio Advice

As a recruiter for Sapient Interactive I see many resumes and portfolios...but if you are a creative and you want a job in this day an age you should have a ONLINE portfolio. There are so many great sites that you can easily post your work, that's it's completely unacceptable for you not to have one. Please don't send me links to download your work, CD's, DVS, etc. just send me a link to view your work. It shows that you are organized, polished and that you really ARE interested and want the job.

Here are just a few of the sites out there that offer you a place to have a FREE portfolio:
http://www.behance.net/
http://www.carbonmade.com/
http://www.coroflot.com/default.asp
http://creativehotlist.com/
http://figdig.com/

There should be no excuse as to why you don't have an online portfolio. So if you apply for a creative advertising job and you don't leave a link for the employer to view your work, please don't be surprised if you never hear from them again.

And if you haven't started to write or design for the interactive space, I would advise that you start. The world, our clients and our work are moving more and more and MORE into the interactive space and if you don't embrace it soon, you will be obsolete.

Sapient Interactive is hiring creatives! Please apply here and most importantly don't forget the link to your portfolio!

Pay it forward

I am connected to Erik Proulx on Twitter and saw that he is creating a website for agency folks who are looking for jobs: http://www.pleasefeedtheanimals.com/ Sapient IS hiring but we don't have a ton of openings...so I like to help any way that I can even if I can't hire you.

Also along the same lines, please follow http://twitter.com/JobAngels. If you are looking for work or want to help others find work.

Please let me know if you know of any other great sites out there! Pay it forward!
