Creatives - Portfolio Advice

As a recruiter for Sapient Interactive I see many resumes and portfolios...but if you are a creative and you want a job in this day an age you should have a ONLINE portfolio. There are so many great sites that you can easily post your work, that's it's completely unacceptable for you not to have one. Please don't send me links to download your work, CD's, DVS, etc. just send me a link to view your work. It shows that you are organized, polished and that you really ARE interested and want the job.

Here are just a few of the sites out there that offer you a place to have a FREE portfolio:
http://www.behance.net/
http://www.carbonmade.com/
http://www.coroflot.com/default.asp
http://creativehotlist.com/
http://figdig.com/

There should be no excuse as to why you don't have an online portfolio. So if you apply for a creative advertising job and you don't leave a link for the employer to view your work, please don't be surprised if you never hear from them again.

And if you haven't started to write or design for the interactive space, I would advise that you start. The world, our clients and our work are moving more and more and MORE into the interactive space and if you don't embrace it soon, you will be obsolete.

Sapient Interactive is hiring creatives! Please apply here and most importantly don't forget the link to your portfolio!
